A long trail to a loving forever home

Nanuk's loving family shares their story below

Kathy and Mark wish to announce their extreme happiness
at the newest addition to their home, thanks to Tundra
Spirits.  Her name is Nanuk, and the allure of her gorgeous
blue eyes is surpassed only by her sweet disposition.

We have had the pleasure of her company for a scant two
weeks and are just now beginning to see hints of what may
be in store for us as her true personality starts to shine
through.

In the house, or in the woods, there seems to be no end to
her desire to explore through sight, sound, smell, and
taste. Hot or cold, wet or dry, there is no weather too harsh
to slow her down. She lives for her walks and never wants
them to end.

As this is written, a fire sizzles, supper settles, and our girl
snoozes in her usual spot on the couch. We look at her
adorable, sweet face and are filled with warmth that has
nothing to do with the blazing hearth.  Once again, all is
right in the universe and in our home. We are a family.

It is impossible to tell who is more excited to see who at the
end of a day of work. The moment the front door opens,
the smiles appear, expressions of love flow, and one has to
ask…who rescued who?

So what is love anyway? We define it, at least in part, as
the inability to feel whole or complete until that which is
missing is found or returned. What was missing for us was
the unqualified affection that we two lucky humans have
found again, covered in fur and sporting a wet nose.

Thank you Tundra Spirits.
